Citizens' Bureau participation at the World Justice Forum

we are well pleased to have come thus far!

In February 2019, 250 organizations applied for the world justice challenge: Access to justice solutions. We submitted CITIZEN BUREAU application by February 7, and are delighted that out of many applicants across the globe we made it to the selection process as one of the 30 finalists organizations.

During the past four days, from April 29 through May 2 in the Hague, the Netherlands, the CITIZENS' BUREAU Community Justice Teams project was being show cased. The world justice project brought together people from across the globe to include governmental institutions and justice actors in both the formal and informal sectors towards a sustained effort to provide billions more people with access to justice.

The forum attendees voted to aid the panel of judges in reaching a decision to announce five winners for this year justice prize. Winners included Alaska legal service corporation, United States of America. ISA, Brazil. Nazdeek, India. Legal Aid Bureau, Malawi and The Equality Effect, Kenya.

Whilst we congratulated this year winners for the Justice prize, the Citizens Bureau for Development and Productivity in Liberia is well pleased to have come thus far being named a finalist; thereby putting our organization and beloved country #Liberia on the world stage as it relates to justice practitioners with evidence based solutions towards the increasing demand for justice globally.

As we continue this work with support from partners, the CITIZEN BUREAU is committed to offering free Alternative Dispute Resolution (ADR) services in isolated, marginalized and low income communities, targeting everyday citizens struggling to make ends meet and cannot afford the formal justice system for the redress of grievances due to lack of reliable income.

We'll ensure maximum satisfaction as deem necessary by the conflicting parties with respect for the rule of law whilst saving the parties time and money they would have spent navigating an intimidating formal justice system which demand legal fees and bribes with bureaucratic hurdles.

The time and money we'll save or had saved the impacted parties are as important to improving their shattered lives and contributing to the rebuilding of the nation.

We also commit to working with trusted community residents as mediators doing so in collaboration with actors of the formal justice system and community leaders.
